Vintage French hand-painted tole floral chandelier, dating to approximately 1935–1950. This unusual five-light French chandelier is constructed as an inverted hanging bouquet, with cascading green foliage, hand-painted pink, cream and yellow flowers, floral candle cups and curved ivory arms. The chandelier was sourced in France and retains its original hand-painted finish.
The chandelier retained its original early electrical fittings when sourced, including turned wooden candle/socket surrounds and old cloth-insulated wiring with cloth-wrapped connections. These original electrical components have been removed and replaced with new wiring, new E14 sockets and new candle sleeves for modern use.
