Stoneware Oil Jug, Digoin Grès Pottery
Vintage French stoneware jug with lid, sourced in France. This vessel features a dual-handle form with a top carry handle and a side handle for controlled pouring, along with a short spout and wide opening.
The underside is stamped “Grès Pot Digoin France,” indicating production in Digoin, a well-known French pottery center recognized for durable stoneware throughout the 20th century.
This type of vessel was traditionally used for storing and pouring liquids such as olive oil, vinegar, or broth. It can also be used as a decorative object or functional container.
The glaze is a warm brown tone with natural variations from the firing process. A darker mark is visible on the spout, consistent with kiln firing and not damage.

• Width (handle to spout): 24 cm / 9.4 inches
• Weight: 1.2 kg / 2.7 lbs
CONDITON:
Beautiful vintage condition with age-appropriate wear.
There is a visible dark kiln mark on the spout from the original firing process, which is part of its character and not damage. No major chips or cracks observed.
